robbiegates
Hey guys so I have a 05 LGT Catless UP/ Catted DP and Magnaflow CatBack Stock turbo and injectors K&N intake Protuned for 94octane @ 16psi, I was running very rich in my fuel trims. AF learning 1 abcd were pretty much all -14.8 all the time. Sure enough I had a leaky stock tmic. I replaced this with a Perrin TMIC. The trims were still funky so I have: Cleaned the maf, Changed plugsCLeaned the k&n filter Changed the o2 sensor with an oem unit. Seafoamed the car Performed a boost leak check with a smoke machine at a reputable shop in Toronto after the new TMIC install. And this is where I am at: Af learning 1a sometimes this is 3.9 but most of the time it will climb gradually at idle to 5.5...6.7..7.0...7.9...10.1..14.1 then back down and up again sometimes settling at 7.. sometimes at 10.1. Sometimes we have a good day and it stays below 5 the whole trip. The rest of the trims remain pretty steady. Af learning 1b 3.9 Af learning 1c -0.9 Af learning 1d -1.5 no knocks or knock correction from what I can see. AFR ratios good at idle, cruise and acceleration DAM is at 1 The car does feel pretty good otherwise. Sometimes when driving around in 1st in my underground parking the car kinda surges. It takes the small throttle input and runs with it just a little, but it is noticeable. I have no way of knowing wether the car was tuned before or after the original leak that I solved in the intercooler. Is there anyway I could determine if it is just a matter of scaling something? Or is this another sensor/leak problem? Please help... It's sucks to be scared to hit boost.
jkaszynski
Good question, did the seafoam clean that much?
rob-2
That top mount intercooler doesn't have the same flow rate as a stock intercooler. The result is that you can run lean. You need to go get a new tune.
yardie
I've read that +5/-5 is OK in A/F Learning range, Learning 1A is idle. Which O2 sensor did you change? May not be your issue but throwing it out there. Also look up TPS sensor and DBW pedal sensor. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/bad-throttle-position-sensoriii-158048.html?p=3315559&mode=linear#post3315559
