candellstick
I have an 09 Legacy 2.5 52,700 mi, at a sustained speed at and above 35-40mph, I hear a whirring sound coming from the trans. At acceleration or deceleration, sound disappears. Any ideas? Thanks!
Manchito
I have the same problem on my 2.5i , i hear a noise coming from under the car , more in the back and its happening only when going between 50-60 kmh , if i go over or under that speed it stop , it also stop when i dont have my feet on the gas . I talked with my dealer about this , and they told me they dont believe its the transmission itself , but more a problem on the driveshaft or the rear diff. Ill have to look at this soon. Okayer2570
Sounds like the difs are going. Get them flushed. And fresh fluids and gaskets see if that changes the noise. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
theflystyle
Are you sure its coming from the trans?
Okayer2570
The front dif is by the transmission. Could be that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
candellstick
It's hard to get a handle on exactly where it's coming from, but a friend of mine suggested possibly a wheel bearing to some degree.
