Gbrown
Well, I got a MAF dtc, so I cleaned the sensor with MAF cleaner. Now the car will accelerate up to mid to high rpm, and then stall, until rpm gets down to idle then it will act okay, I accelerate back up to mid to high rpm and does it again. I can repeat the problem consistently. Should I just go ahead and replace the MAF sensor?. I've got voltage to the sensor by the way. johnegg
did the trouble code go away?
Gbrown
Yes, it went away on it's own. Here's what happened. Drove the car (above post). Disconnected the MAF and drove the car. Did not have the high rpm cutout. Reconnected the MAF and I'm not having the problem. Earlier problem, was the car would intermittently die, got the MAF dtc, then cleaned the sensor. Idle was lower than normal. That's when I started getting the high rpm stall. I was thinking when I reconnected the MAF I would get the high rpm stall, then I would know it was the MAF causing the problem. Now I'm not sure. What do ya think? johnegg
inspect the MAF connector wiring. i seem to remember a MAF wiring issue with the connector. it may not be your issue, but i does not hurt to look. and if the problem ever comes back, try the ''wiring wiggle'' and see if anything changes.
