Ironcheflove
Well I'm not having the best of luck lately. So this weekend I replaced the 2.2 in my 1997 BK with another 2.2 and it runs great BUT when I drove it today the tranny started to slip from 2 - 3 but I'm able to shift manual1-2-3-D fine. I'm also getting some slippage during hill climbs when I'm accelerating hard in 3rd and 4th. During the install the torque converter slide out some but I pushed it in gently to and felt the re-engagement and it spun just fine. When I bolted up the plate to the TQ it had the 1/4" gap that was brought together when I torqued the 4 loctited bolts on. I have checked the tranny fluid and it was low so I refilled it but overfilled it because I couldn't tell where the correct fluid level was on the dipstick since I just put it in the tube. So I did a drain and got out 5 qts. So I refilled it very carefully and I'm still having the problem. How fu%#!d am I? edit: It's also throwing a P0507 IACV High Rpm but I figured that's because of the RPM revin from the slippage.
boattlebot
Slippin sounds like the friction material on the clutch disks in the trans are burnt if thats the case, your looking at a rebuild.
