Bandit240
Here's my other ride. It's a 1980 Datsun 720 King Cab pickup. I've always been a Datsun guy. I prefer the 620 body style, but I needed 4 seats. I picked this guy up for $500 with a blown head gasket. Another $130 in parts and she was on the road. Had new tires, new radiator and a new battery when I bought it. All of 113,000 miles and garage kept most of its life.

Bandit240
No SR20 for my truck. Being a 1980 is has the 720 body style but the running gear is all from the 620 trucks. I've owned a few 620's and they never let me down. I've also owned a couple of later 720's with the Z series engines and they were crap. This one has the L20b with a 5 speed. I figure it's just about right since that engine was pretty well proven by 1980. Plus seeing that my last 620 made it to around 350k before it rusted in half, I figure I've got a lot of life left in this truck.
Bandit240
Also, this truck has to stay ready to go all the time. It is the replacement for my 1980 Datsun 210 wagon that was our backup car. Another victim of rust. It made it to the 300k mark though.
