blasim12
I am running 215-60-r60 on my '10 Lego and looking to get snow tires that are 205-55-r16..wasn't sure if I would have a problem with putting these on? Would it throw off the speedometer? Anybody know anything?
whitetiger
the tire you are looking to get is over 1" shorter in overall diameter than the tires you currently have. that will definitely throw off your speedometer to some degree. whats wrong with getting a snow tire the same measurements as what you have? blasim12
They are expensive as s""t..found a deal on craigslist to save a buck for a working man...how much would it throw it off..like 2-5 mph or like 15-20 mph?
whitetiger
the faster you go the more it will be off, but id guess around 5mph at 60 on the dash. do the math and figure it out. the car may feel more peppy since a shorter tire is like lowering your gearing. Jack Giovo
Another place for tire fit is Discount Tire and others have an info center that has a tire calculator on the site - also when running tires that are different size than your spare there can be problems with suspension pieces breaking
GTEASER
Try drivetrain, not suspension. Differentials dont like different size tires. GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold
