irconflict
Hello on Saturday I picked myself up an 08 spec b. And the absolute only thing wrong with it is that it has an aftermarket nav unit in it instead of oem. This being said my stock radio no longer works. The new nav unit is the new radio, and the radio is mostly static. Is there any way to make it so that the nav unit is only nav and the stock radio work as it did before the aftermarket nav unit? Any help is greatly appreciated. If this helps the unit is sony and is XNV-660BT. Or would my best bet be to try and find an oem nav unit and try to put it back to stock? Xplosivo1
It's possible, but I really doubt it's worth the effort. The easy way would to disconnect the speaker wires from the sony and reconnect them to the oem unit. If you did that though, you would lose any voice prompts and all audio from the sony. IMO a better solution would be to attach a separate antenna to the back of the Sony. I've seen radio antennas you can attach to a windshield... Xplosivo1
Can you post some pics of the setup? I haven't seen any aftermarket radios that don't use the JDM adapter.
