Theheatfan33
I purchased the ebay 06-07 wrx lip awhile ago and never installed it. I took it to a body shop that also replaced my front bumper due to an accident. The guy at the shop told me since I had a replacement bumper and not the oem one it would cause the bumper to crack if you drilled holes in it. Is this true? If not, I'll go ahead and install it myself like the rest of you. Thanks.
Nubie
I don't have experience with the aftermarket bumper but doesn't sound right. I don't see that happening, maybe he just following the CYA policy. I would suggest just starting with a very small drill but and working your way up to be safe.
alpha_numeric44
It may make a stress point and the paint could crack. I doubt the bumper would crack from it unless there was an impact. He was prolly just covering his ass for paint warranty. Im a bodyman / painter. I always try to warn customers of anything so I don't have to fix stupid shit for free.
