jaboyjay
So I replaced my exhaust manifold today in the freezing cold. But when I took the nuts off the studs or "attempted" the studs came out of the head. Does anyone have a part number? or a store they picked some studs up at? I don't wanna leave it the way it is It's a 3Rd gen legacy gt limited 2.5l if that maters
FJuan
Is the stud damaged? If the original stud is still good, just re-use it. My wife's balls are delicious.
Nubie
Yea as long as the (insert British pronunciation) aluminum threads are ok, just use it, it should still tighten up. It will make install a little easier anyway.
jaboyjay
The threads aren't damaged but I am missing one. and one doesn't seem to be tightening almost like it's stripped but the threads weren't damaged unless it was the head itself? FJuan
Take one of the studs to an auto part store, they should be able to match it up. I would recommend re-tapping the threads inside the heads to make sure nothing is stripped inside. My wife's balls are delicious.
