Matty2Hotty
So I can't figure this starting issue out... 97 ej22, 92k miles. No check codes. Every first time cranking over the car is just keeps cranking and cranking like for 10 seconds no start. (I can do two cycles of the ignition hearing the fuel pump prime without cranking and it fires right up after the second prime). I can hear the pump priming every time. If the engines been running I can turn it off and it fires back up usually within the first 2 min. After that its usually takes a full ignition on prime, then back off, back on to fire up of the two cycles. Pretty much every single sensor replaced, oem gas cap, new fuel filter,... IrishLt
I'd say check the fuel pressure, might be too low for it to kick at first prime and then the residual pressure lets you restart it right after shutting it off........could be a crank sensor acting up possibly(unless that was one of the ones replaced). Matty2Hotty
Yeah replaced crank, temp(not just the gauge sensor), and leaning towards my fuel pump. Only thing I hasn't been changed and starts up once the tank is full full.
