upshiftn Posted February 26, 2014 Author Share Posted February 26, 2014 okay. the resistor was in place underneath the electrical tape and nothing seemed to be compromised so it seems a little odd I got the P0546 code in the first place which went away after the 4th engine start. we'll see how the new one goes with a long drive ahead tomorr. upshiftn Posted March 15, 2014 Author Share Posted March 15, 2014 update from compression test: results: cylinders 1 thru 4... 121, 120, 121, 120. pretty normal for 92k miles. no valve adjustment needed however a lazy injector will most likely be the cause but may need to wait for a CEL to determine which one.
