romanb111
I'm ready to buy a 2005 Legacy GT MT5 but I've read that they improved mileage on the 2006. Is it worth it to wait?

PhilT
It depends. If you can save a few thousand bucks by buying an '05 model that uses a tiny amount more gas. Calculate how many miles you expect to do, then see if you would get a return on the extra cost. Also there's the resale value to take into consideration, if you plan to do mods etc etc. But if its just for the gas savings, I would say no, it's not worth it. al-gorithm
How does it save more gas? Is it because they deleted a cat for an air pump?
Mblock66
There is no way the 06 saves that much more gas. Just get the 05 and put in a catless Uppie for $200.
Xenonk
I doubt the ECU got a better retune and got water-downed in the process. EPA on the stickers still show the same numbers. Keefe Keefe
