FreakyFendy
Hey I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on this topic. I have never owned a Subaru and I was looking at getting the 05' LGT. The lowest miles i can find on one is about 100k. Now if the car hasn't had the turbo replaced I was wondering if I should just go ahead and replace it because it has so many miles on it. Also if I do this should I keep the turbo I take off of it? and is it going to be too much time/money to upgrade from the OEM turbo to something a little better? Please give me any info you have on the topic and feel free to add something else or ask me some questions too. Thank you!
FLlegacy
From what I have read if you replace with anything other than stock you will need to retune. At a 100k miles you will be best off having a subaru shop do a thorough pre purchase inspection on the car, this should include a leak down and compression test as well as a look at the turbo.
