Opinions on Sub/Amp package?

I've been looking to add a little bit of audio quality to my LGT, and figured that a sub would help nicely. I'm not looking for huge amounts of bass, just something that can give me better than stock sound. Also, I'm on a college student budget so my options are pretty limited.

I saw that most people who reviewed it were somewhat impressed, and was wondering if anyone else could offer me some insight.

 

Also, what other pieces would I have to buy to install the sub? I understand that a Line out converter may be necessary. Any recommendations on which brand, model? All opinions are appreciated. Thanks.
