19Outback96
Hi, I have the 2.2L with the 5spd and i was wondering if my clutch is like most subies, or if there is something wrong with it. On the pedal, it has one pressure point, that then the rest of the is just for starting. What i mean by that is as soon as i have reached that pressure point on the pedal, i can shift freely and only use the full "pedal to the floor" on start up of the car. Is this common in other subies or is there something wrong with my clutch?
Stevo F
Assuming you have a hydraulic clutch, sounds like there may be some air in the line. I just went through that with my Nissan truck when replacing the slave/ master cylinders. We bled the line numerous times but still feels like you have to psh it down more than before before the clutch "catches".
DJBRANDER
the 2.2 has a cable clutch I believe... mines worn too and feels funny. Myabe replace or adjust the cable?
19Outback96
it is a cable. My original thought is that one of the spring under the dash for the pedal is either too "strong" or is becoming very worn out. Any thoughts?
