Lubasu Posted November 3, 2013 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Hey guys, trying to get Ecu flash to work with my VAG KKL cable I bought. Romraider and learning view work just fine. I have tried new and old versions of Ecuflash and nothing seems to work. I get a unable to open OpenPort device [L RT0001] everytime i try to read the ecu. It might be important to mention I am running windows 7 through parallels on my mac. Although i wouldnt see why this would effect Ecuflash only, because Romraider works just fine. I even tried ecu flash for mac and the cable again fails me. Anyone have any advice? for the mac side or the PC side. HELP!!!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ras06LGT Posted November 4, 2013 Share Posted November 4, 2013 Your cable may have the incorrect chipset. Sounds like many of the newer ones are coming with the CH340 chipset, which does not appear to work with our cars and ECUFlash.
