Help with hidden sub box for 5th gen

Hi

 

I'm trying to build a hidden box for my 5thGen, similar to the one offered by stereo clarity to house my IDQ12 D4V4. The issue is this is my first time building a box and i'm nowhere close to a good DIYer for the record,.

 

 

I'd love to buy one off ItaliStylion for the price but thing is Im in ASia and shipping that box across Pacific would be a PITA so i have to build my own.

 

So to start off with, I read both threads opened by alaskajoel and italinstylion on these boxes andc ame up with the following dimensions

 

The squarebox is 21 x 21 x 3.25 and the tube is 12.2" diameter and 5.25" high inclusively, which madde the box 8.25" high collectively right? Would this be approrpirate dimension t build? And if anybody with that bix confirm if thay're ok after a couple of years of using? Any rattle at all?

 

I intend to use 3/4 MDf and PVC pipe for my application.
