urdrwho
Just for kicks and because I feel that there may be an EVAP situation that isn't being monitored. I took off my gas cap and ran the car for 10 miles. I really expected that I would see a P0440 or a P0455 code because no gas cap is a rather large leak. With such a large leak and no code I wonder if I have a wiring problem. I didn't do the transplant on the car, it was done before I bought it. I've been wondering if some of my running problems are wiring related? Getting no code may mean that something isn't being monitored. Any ideas why I would not get a code? johnegg
some faults, lots of faults take 2 drive cycles to set a code. what year, model, engine, trans, miles? so you have this car that is not throwing any codes and you are trying to make it throw a code in the hopes that it will lead to to a better running car? tell us more about how your car is running , what is it doing? what is it not doing? what swap? urdrwho
It will throw other codes. I just wanted to see if it would throw the gas cap code. I drove it 10 miles one day and the 11 miles the next day, it never threw the code. 97 OB limited Auto trans Mileage on engine - transplant - unknown Mileage on odometer - @148,000 some faults, lots of faults take 2 drive cycles to set a code. what year, model, engine, trans, miles? so you have this car that is not throwing any codes and you are trying to make it throw a code in the hopes that it will lead to to a better running car? tell us more about how your car is running , what is it doing? what is it not doing? what swap?
