(im thinking it locks the diff or something) and the power mode button on the gear stick, i presume its like most overdrive buttons, but when the dash lights up "power" does this mean that its a lower gear so better for over taking and when its off its in an over drive mode? But, to answer your questions: Winter hold (snowflake) locks the diffs and also locks out 1st gear so the car will start in 2nd gear. This is to reduce spinning the wheels in slippery conditions. Power mode changes the shift points of the car to keep it in the power band longer. It also will be more apt to downshift. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
