munje22
So for my '05 Legacy I bought XXR 522's 18x9.5 +38 and Falken 512 225/40/18 and apparantly If I put them on they will rubbing the front strut like crazy. I was going to lower the car on s tech springs but because of that problem I dont think I will be. So I was wondering if I buy Stance GR+ coilovers will the it give me clearance so it wont be touching the strut since it wont be there. And yes I did Roll my fenders before hand (if you're wondering). Also can you guys tell me if im missing anything so I can buy it beforehand and not run into more problems lol. Thanks guys, hope you could help! Also I will be buying white line camber kit and bushings.
idiot4hire
Coilovers will give you more clearance then the struts because of the spring perches although I don't like stance coil overs or s techs for that matter. Deffinitly no s techs
scoobyscoodle
Wheels of that width and offset will never fit with the front MacPherson assembly, CO's will be your only choice. 225's on a 9.5? Sounds like a stance car. You might as well get Stance CO's so you match.
munje22
So if I buy coilovers it should be able to fit.

Sideways the Seven
18x9.5 +38 on a 225/40/18 will fit even with the stock struts without rubbing the towers. You don't need coilovers to run them. That being said, I'd advise against those wheel specs anyway, but it seems you're going for stance more than anything else so have fun. -Brandon 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT3 1981 Chevrolet C10 LWB
AZP Installs
So I was wondering if I buy Stance GR+ coilovers will the it give me clearance so it wont be touching the strut since it wont be there. I'm assuming you want to put GR coilovers on your LGT? They won't work on it. Also as others have said Stance are for looks but nothing more. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. munje22
Which coilovers would you guys suggest?
whitetiger
assuming you want complete ride height adjustability, is say tein flex coilovers are probably the cheapest thing that would reliably fit your intended use. they have independent height and spring preload adjustments and are not total crap like the cheaper options out there. Id lookin to getting them with spring rate higher than what they normally come with off the shelf if you plan to really slam your car. Id also invents in the whiteline KTA124 toe/camber arm kit to get your rear wheel fitment spot on.
munje22
Hey thanks whitetiger I will definitely look into investing in the whiteline rear camber/toe kit because I was looking for a rear camber kit anyways. And one more question with tein flexs I should have enough room/clearance for the front rim/tire to rub anything other than the fender? (but my fenders are rolled and going to be pulled so that shouldnt be a problem lol). Just making sure so I know before ordering.

Sideways the Seven
Again, those wheels would fit even with the stock struts so, yes, they will fit with coilovers Sent from my SGH-T699 using Tapatalk 2 -Brandon 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT3 1981 Chevrolet C10 LWB

Just making sure so I know before ordering. with your chosen wheel offset, it wont rub the coilovers. your fender will be the concern. even if you have them rolled, you are gonna have to play with alignment settings to get it right, which is why i recommend the whiteline arms. good luck to you, and if you are pulling the fender professionally, you will be able to fit wider tires such as a 245/35/18 or even a 255/35/18 if you are feeling up to it.
