Okay not that cat. :p

I was reading about the 07 and up not having an UP cat. Question is, if I use an OEM catless 07+ UP in my 05, would I pass smog (sniffer and visual)? I'm hoping someone in CA have the experience to tell me.

You shouldn't have any problems as long as the car is good and warm when they smog it. The 07+ deleted the cat and replaced it /worked around it with a smog pump. The smog pump only runs for the first few minutes of a start and heats up the second cat quicker. In the future you'll have better luck posting this in the SoCal sub forum....

make sure you get an up pipe with the thermal probe hole still in it. there is a sensor that measures exhaust heat and does not really do anything unless it gets way to hot (never happens) and it will fail if that is not in even if you have a resistor so it reads right.
