ScoobyGT15 Posted July 3, 2013 Share Posted July 3, 2013 Has anyone hardwired their Cobra Radar into the power rearview mirror? I am looking into doing this and I was just seeing if there is anyone that has done it and the best way to do. Also trying to see if there are any kits for it and how you mounted it under the mirror. Willson556 Posted July 13, 2013 Share Posted July 13, 2013 Yep, popped out the lights from the roof and spliced into the connector. Put the car in reverse and use a multimeter to find GND and 12V. One of the three lines will be live when the car is not in reverse and dead when it is. This makes for extremely annoying multi-point turns if you get the wrong 12V line... Moddiction Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 It's super easy. As others said. Pop the map light cover off. Use a multi meter to find which wire is only powered when car is on and then ground it and you are set. All you need is a telephone cord. I found one I had laying around.
