  1. The park works fine. Yes that is correct. Its a rather big issue because Subaru in general is very rare here. Maybe 6 dealerships nationwide, getting used parts is impossible.
  2. Hi I bought a Subaru Legacy wagon about 1 year ago. I absolutely love it! Its great for the family and not boring to drive. However I am in the unfortunate situation that my gear has something broken and to get it fixed is almost impossible. So a new gear box looks like the only option and my god is that expensive! It is half of what I paid for the car! Cars are not cheap here in Denmark. So let me explain. I was driving one day and I noticed a strange noise. When the engine is cold there is no sound, only when it is warm does it appear. I took it to my mechanic and he said they cant fix it, only a new gear box. When checking it he emptied the bottom and out came some metal (aluminum) pieces, rather big. He doesnt know what they are or why they broke. When he told me the price for a new gear I took it to a gear specialist. They have now checked it and it no long makes the sound since the metal pieces came out. He is puzzled, also because it drives fine. Doesnt appear to be anything wrong. BUT Those pieces broke for a reason and they must have a meaning. I have attached a photo of them here. If anyone can identify what they are and what they do I would appreciate it. Also, if I can continue to drive without them. The alternative is to buy a used gearbox and replace it but this is also very expensive. The specialist mechanic is hoping he can find the spare pieces but he is struggling to find out where they are located. He will have to take it out and open it, this alone will cost 1000 USD! Any help or advice would be appreciated! /Dan
