Hey guys first post here.
So yesterday I bought a 1999 Legacy GT with 158000KM It runs really good no leaks or anything and The cars coming from one owner who’s a mechanic and a Subaru family. Everything on the car is mint except two things.
First; whenever I go on the gas really quickly and let off, mess up a downshift, or roll slow over really bad bumps, especially in first or second, the shifter seems to shake, now the shifter isn’t too loose and definitely isn’t the worst thing I’ve driven, but the owner said the shaking is due to a pressure plate, it doesn’t seem to mess with the engine must but honestly it’s just pretty annoying and I can’t seem to find any information on wether or not this is the problem and can’t seem to find just a pressure plate for sale anywhere.
Second; today as I got up this morning and drove my clutch felt really short, it feels like it only moved about two inches or so in total but doesn’t effect the driving ability at all, just seems like the clutch bites quicker. It ended up coming out later in the day and that’s when I realized that it wasn’t normal, I think it was stuck in when I stopped driving earlier today but it got stuck and released twice in about 2.5 hours of city driving.
