  1. So sorry for the long post, I need some help and will try to be as detailed as possible. My problems started when it would take a couple turns of the key to get my car to start, if I was making multiple stops it would take a few extra times to get it to start. Well, one day it completely quit. To get it home I took the wire and ran power straight to the small connector on the start and it started right up. Fast forward, I have since checked all the cables from the battery, fuses, and relays as well as changed the battery, starter and ignition switch, with none of those fixed the problem, after all of that it won't crank or anything. After searching the forums, I attempted to run a push button. Now with the key turned and the button pushed (using the starter fuse slot in the lower-left fuse block inside the car) I can get the car to crank but it won't start. With this set up I getting 12V at the connector at the starter and I can hear the fuel pump running. Anybody else that has tried to run a push button or a switch for the starter that could provide some insight into what I'm missing or any possible information to the original problem would be helpful. MIKE
