Mine worked first try, but took closer to 2hrs to put the file on the usb stick.

I updated my wife's Ascent after and it upgraded faster even though it had an update to the infotainment as well as maps. Not sure why that was.

The first time it happened was in the snow and ice and i was fine with that. The second time maybe it was very sunny, although i don't really consider that a good reason. The rest of the times i have just been driving in good conditions and it didn't turn back on.

 

I will take a look at the book and see and also follow up with the dealer.

Has anyone had Eyesight turn off while driving?

I get a message every once in awhile saying eyesight is disabled and it doesn't come back until i turn off the car and turn it back on again.

 

I tried manually disabling all the stuff and reenabling it and did a check with the app, but it said all was good.

I have the Legacy XT and I love it as well. Just a couple of very annoying things that would be easy to fix. I am getting used to the start/stop now that i know how to trick it. I would choose to disable the album art all together rather than the nonsense off and on.

My contact at the dealer told me the same.

What is the point of having the art if it is off the majority of the time you are in the car? It is more distracting seeing it go on and off every stop and go.

 

Why do they have to overthink stuff like this?

Mine does the same, i am going to forward to my dealer to see if they can pass it along.

Thanks for the info. I tried the steering wheel trick and it worked for me.

I have had my Limited xt for about 3 weeks and it is beyond annoying. My wife who never notices anything asked what the shaking was when it restarted.
