  1. Hi guys, is the rotor position on this picture expected? I'm using a junkyard spindle and hub from 2014 Subaru Outback 2.5L CVT Premium, VIN:4S4BRBCC5E3309447, to test the fit for my parts and wheels. Subaru parts list the same part number for this car as for my car. I'm using: ATS caliper 172-2768 Centric rotor 125.47019 BWC FABRICATIONS bracket BWC-SATS4F Do I have a bad hub? Or is the rotor not centered with the caliper expected? Picture link Thanks
  2. AFAIK sti has 5x114.3mm bolt pattern. Doing the rear wheel dance is no fun in the snow/rain and definitely not something wife or daughter will want to do.
  3. Hi guys, Do you know if the LGT comes with a larger spare wheel than the regular Legacy? Do you know of a spare wheel that will fit over sti calipers and work on Legacy/Outback 5x100 bolt pattern? I'm trying to find a spare wheel that will fit over ATS brakes in front. My 17" spare does fit with a 20, 22, or 25mm spacer but the clearance is very tight at the top of the ATS caliper. So either I find a spare that will have better clearance or even better a spare that works without the spacer so the offset is not changed. Any ideas? Thanks P.S. I'm not looking for full spare size!
  4. Very reasonable prices don't worry about that part.
  5. Thanks for the answer. Good that I do not need the master. I also got the master cylinder brace.
  6. Hi guys, I asked this question on NASIOC and SubaruOutback.org but not much luck. Probably Outback guys that have ATS brakes are lurking in here instead? I got the parts for installing ATS front and WRX red calipers rear on my 2009 Outback 3.0R. I'm using BWC brackets. I still need to get bigger wheels as the stock 17" are not clearing the ATS clippers (they do clear the rears). My question for my fellow Outback owners (or Legacy that share the same parts): with the increased caliper size do I need to get the master cylinder from sti to make this work properly? Are you experience issues with the brake pedal having to travel more now to engage the brakes? Any other issues I should be aware off (except the pad overhang)? Thanks a lot!
  7. Good news,eh. I'll email again if needed and wait then.
  8. Hi guys, where did you get the harness and when? I know SVXdc was the source before but I emailed him and got no answer. I wonder if he is still doing this. Thanks
  9. Any chance of getting the pictures back for this thread?
  10. Hi guys, this is the same post I posted on subaruoutback.org as I got the impression that many prefer one or the other forums. ----- I'm looking to get a get 3 as a daughter/family car and after a lot of reading it is between XT and 3.0 engines. I'm more toward turbo as I own a turbo manual wagon. It has to be an auto as it is going to be family car. It will mostly be stock initially (except for ease of maintenance stuff like turbo oil filter, catch can, etc.). After bringing it to stage zero it may get a very reliable tune if family want it but nothing crazy and no other mods. I do not have plans to get past that as I have the current turbo car that has a heavy built engine and stuff so no more complicated projects. My concern is that even with XT engine the car is under powered (for comparison my wagon came with 300hp from factory). The good news is that with a stage 1 tune I can get to happy place. But the reviews are telling me that there is a head gasket replacement lurking if not already done. The 3.0 in theory sounds better (more displacement should be better) and it is reviewed as more reliable, and smoother running. But I did not see he same ease of tuning it and it has even lower power than XT. A long tine ago I test drove a 2004 Outback LL Bean that had the 3.0H engine - I was not impressed (not sure if it is the same engine though). So first question: XT or 3.0 and why? Are my points above valid? With every car there is the question of which year is a good year to buy? Looks like the 09 is coming with the most goodies from the factory. I said 2009 but you may know better which one is suitable given my intentions or maybe an earlier year will give me better price and selection w/o losing much. Given the above answered what should I look for when I go shopping? What are the walk-away points? What are the big ticket maintenance items? Any other things that you may think helpful for shopping or just to be aware as a potential new owner. Thanks a lot! P.S. not very important but curious: is there an economical bigger brake upgrade for this car?
