  1. It's my daily driver, so I don't really have the time to have it down that long. Engine swap is quicker than engine refurb.
  2. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this is no, but I have an NA EJ253 with bad head gaskets in my 2005 Legacy, and an opportunity to buy a much lower mileage wrecked 2004 Baja Turbo with an EJ255 for cheap. I was wondering if it's possible to swap in the EJ255 *without* the turbo (swap on my exhaust and intake) and run it with the EJ253 ECU. I know there's a compression rate difference, but it's not a race car, I don't really care, as long as it runs. thoughts?
