Hey all, been lurking here for a while reading countless nav install threads and have come up with a question I can’t seem to find the answer to.
I’m planning to use my clock pigtail to tie into, and have determined I’ll be able to use most of the wires there. The one left over is the Yellow wire on Pin 5. It appears to be fed from the cluster at pin 18.
Here’s the pin in its wiring diagram as is:
On my Nav harness I need to tap into VDC, which is fed from the speedometer (pin 19 on my cluster), to the VDC module, then to the nav system.
My question is; although the VDC and yellow clock wires are separate pins on the cluster output, are they the same or a similar signal? Can the yellow wire on P5 be used as the VDC signal or do I need to leave that disconnected and tap into the wire between VDC and the speedo?
