Can confirm, am without turbo
-
That was essentially my question, if it’s got the correct pill and I don’t do anything else- would I need a tune? I’m absolutely willing to do that, but if for the time being I could run it on stock ECU I would. Thanks for your input. I’ve spoken with and hoping to hear back again from JmP today. I’ve asked him about your turbo, as I’m not sure mine is going to be serviceable. I’m very interested in this, but before I purchase I want to know if mine can be salvaged at all and at what cost.

Recommendations for a tuner I could use if I have to outsource? Unless I could just bolt this one up right in place of the VF46…. you mention “plug and play” above.
Performance shops up here are sticky about touching anything they didn’t do all of the work on.

Gotcha! I’m talking with JmP now via email, he got back to me. I’m going to see what he wants to work the problems out of mine then I’ll circle back around. Thanks for the replies

He did reach out, I was just being a little impatient, thank you very much for the help!

It’s Alaska, my friend

No doubt. There is nobody in Alaska who rebuilds anything but diesel turbo’s, only one of them, and I tried like hell to get them to look at this. I reached out to user JmP but like others I’m getting no response and the message has been read. There is one of JmP’s VF40’s in the classifieds from BoozeRS05….

Oil looks good. Gonna pull and replace the pan and oil cooler, flush it a couple times.
Whats my cost shipping to 99507?

I woke up this morning and this was my exact thought. Much obliged

This would be just as good as my vf46 yah? Just pulled the 46 out of my 08, its trashed.

Damn. Since nothing is actually bearing on that surface and its on the cold side i was hoping it would be passable

Does anyone know if XS rebuilds with IHI or Melett parts? Someone else? I see they use UK made parts
