Checked my VIN and it says no recalls available.

Your issue isn’t with the stereo, not with CarPlay. I have an aftermarket stereo and CarPlay works perfectly

I tried one and returned it. I bought one to try to reduce the touchiness of the throttle. Seemed to work OK, but wasn’t worth it to me. I didn’t have any CELs

Dynamat is not a cost effective sound deadener. Use some mass loaded vinyl for that

You probably shouldn’t use the stock wire for the dash tweeters or you won’t be able to use crossovers I’d recommend running the wires. In 2 weeks I’ll be installing a full infinity kappa system running all new wires I’ll let u know how much of a pain it is when I’m done. I still need to see where to drill though anyone got a pic of the firewall in and out of their amp wire?

I did mine by the front drivers side wheel well - there’s a grommet you’re can go in through there. Pretty easy, and there are already cable holders there for other wires

I have this same issue on my '16, it's gotten worse this winter and is pretty loud now.

I guess I am SOL since I'm out of warranty?

Wonder if my car is affected. Bought it used last year so I never get any recall notices. Is there a vin checker yet or is it too early?

If you read the manual, it says you can use 5w-30 if you have to, but to change back to 0w-20 as soon as possible.

Still no clue what the point of this is. They designed the engines to use 0w-20. The majority of the oil consumption were due to the tolerances in their short block ring designs.

Probably not your cause, but my fathers truck had a similar issue - turned out mice chewed one of the tubes for the washer fluid. I would try to washer fluid lever and see if you see any leaking in your engine bay

I notice the instability on the highway as well, but adding the 20mm RSB has helped me.

My mother got an ‘19 Outback loaner and the first thing she said when she got home from the dealer was how awful it wandered on the highway.

Just an early update, my 2106 is running just perfect. The last few days we have has snow and temps in the 20-30 degree zone.My mpg's have dropped from from a 32 average to just below the 28 mpg. The mpg drop was quick...but the daily temp drop was just as quick here in western PA.

Probably has something to do with winter blend gas as well

I change the oil/filter when the oil starts getting visibly dirty. Seems logical as the life blood of your engine.

You really can’t judge oil just by looking at it. If you really want to know the life of an oil in your car, get a used oil analysis by someone like Blackstone.

The manual calls for 0w-20, why would you use anything other than that?

People have tried different weights to see if it helped oil consumption (which it never really did).

Is it possible to check at the dealer what version my engine programming is?

I have the exact opposite problem - my throttle is too touchy. It is impossible for my to roll into the throttle. Even pressing the throttle a little bit gives it way too much input.

I had good luck with Geomet coated rotors here in MA. Much less corrosion vs regular rotors. Hope they work well for you!

Always a benefit to getting narrower tires for winter. Better traction. Depends how much snow your father will see.

If it was me I would probably get 17” wheels with a narrower tire and bigger sidewall (for pothole protection).

Other than that haven’t had many issues, even though I got the car in February.

Really debating selling it because I can’t stand how it drives, the throttle is impossible to drive smoothly on this car. I barely touch the gas and it gives too much. There is no in between.

I thought this was called piston slap, no? I have this pretty bad when my car is cold as well. Initially I thought something was wrong with my car when I first got it because my Impreza never sounded like it.
