  1. Aka Variable Valve Timing (VVT), Very important sensor as it controls how much oil needs to be circulated in your engine. It will cause loss of power, you’re car will have increased MPG (because the engine will be working harder than it needs to) and you’ll have rough idle. You want to make sure it’s working properly. It’ll do more damage in the long run if ignored. I replaced mine and for some reason got the P0021 code.
  2. Will do. But I have a new used engine, I hope they replaced them when they put the engine in.
  3. I changed the driver side Friday and got the CEL today when driving to work. I will clear it see if it’ll go away. Very odd in my opinion.
  4. Sorry and thanks for the help. @covertrussian call me stupid if you may, but the driver side OCV is located at the bottom of the car or on top?
  5. The top left is unplugged (AVCS)? I do not know if it is supposed to but the engine I got was a EJ20x and mechanic said it supposed to be unhooked. I am confused..help? Sorry image is bad best I can do in a rush. Thanks!!
  6. I do not think they have different part numbers, both should work on both sides (if I am not mistaken that is).
  7. From what I’ve been told, you can clean them. I need clean or replace them. I’m not too sure what is the best fluid to use to clean them. Others should be able to help on that.
  8. Hmm okay thanks. I noticed my car is leaking oil and it’s burning causing smoke. My mechanic cleaned off the fluid and now there’s fluid again. The stalling happened 2 times in 1 week. I do have some of the symptoms of a failing OVC. Poor mpg engine hesitation etc. no cel
  9. Hey @covertrussian would a set of bad OCV’s cause a 5EAT to stall at random times when coming to a complete stop?
