How tough was the install? Thinking about doing it myself vs shop. Don’t have specialty tools for it just basics.
Super simple, I’m pretty sure all you need is a flat head for the pop clips, and a Philips for the rest. The directions that Rally Armor give you are so so. But there’s not too much too it.

I got my Enkeis with minimal curb rash (only a few small spots), with Conti DWS tires with 3/4 tread depth remaining (and TPMS) for a grand.
How much did you get yours for?
I found the Enkei's on FB marketplace, and the owner had put a couple hundred miles on them before replacing them. Small little scratches but other than that the are in perfect condition. And I got brand new DWS06's off Tire Rack. Continental tire was having a $70 rebate back on tires for June. I took the TPMS off my stock wheels and put them on the new ones.
All-in-All, I paid around $950 for everything.

Awesome! I had base, crappy alloy wheels as base on my '08 STI. They were heavy as hell.
Yeah these wheels have been great so far, and I think they are around 24 lbs!
I like how you mounted your front plate .Thanks (assuming you are meaning me). I custom fabricated the mount to attach to one of the bolts for the active grille shutters. I posted what the mount looks like a couple months ago.

Final upgraded my wheels and tires. Bought 18" Enkei wheels that came off a 2014 STI. Wrapped them in 245/45R18 Continental DWS06. The OD of the tire is pretty much what came stock on my Legacy. However, the wheel and tire result in about a 1" width increase. I really like the look of these on the car! Also, the grip these tires offer is phenomenal. If anyone is looking for a high performance All-Season, I recommend checking these out.

Finally, upgraded to the 20mm rear sway bar. I have to say, after 3.5 years of rain, snow, and road salt, the threads on the endlinks did not fare well. Trying to get the nut off the link ended up stripping out the Allen key socket. Definitely recommend removing the endlinks with the RSB attached, then removing the RSB. Had to use vice grips to get the nut off. Looks like upgraded endlinks are next on the list for me. I can 100% feel a difference with the stiffer RSB. I took a 200 mi trip, and noticed the back of the vehicle does not wonder as much as it used to.
I also added a L7 license plate delete to cover the holes in the front bumper, since I moved my license plate with the custom plate relocate bracket to the passenger side.

Yeah, about 4.5% off, I get that. I just had no idea where the 225/55/17 talk came into play
Sorry, didn't realize you had the limited with the 225/50. I have the Premium which comes with the 225/55R17. I understand now!
-
These are the stock 225/50/18. I plan on changing to something like 245/40 once these are worn...
Late response, but... Why not go with the 245/45R18? The 225/50R18 will decrease the tire OD, and cause the spedo error to increase if you are going from the 225/55R17.

Paint correction and ceramic coating done by Chicago Autogleam
I am looking to get those wheels for my Legacy as well. What tires are you running on those wheels?

How’s the drone at highway speeds?

Did mine the same way back when I bought it March 2016. Centered and drilled into the bumper is no thank you. It’s a tax stamp that IMO looks more aesthetically pleasing where we have it
Really like the look. I wanted it a little further off to the side though. But really digging the JDM front grille. I am looking at getting one soon.
I am also going to try to create a Licence plate delete plate for where the dealership drilled into my bumper.

I'm just interested as to why you repositioned the number plate.....
I like the look of it better to the side, but I understand that a lot of people think it looks uneven or asymmetrical.
I like it because it makes my car stand out from the rest, and because why not. Just thought other 6th gen'ers who like the look might want to know it is possible with a little fab.

Completed the front license plate relocate bracket. I used 1/8" steel flat bar that I cut, bent, and welded. The mount is connected to the fastener for the lower grille shutter. The single fastener has held the mount very securely, and I have not had an problems so far. I have a metal license plate frame that stops the license plate from flexing. There are 2 dress up bolts securing the plate to the frame on the top, and 2 dress up bolts securing the plate and the frame to the mount. The welds are pretty rough but strong enough. I also spray painted it black.
Let me know what you guys think.

What is actually holding your plate to the bumper? Did you drill holes and zip-tie it? I don't think we have hole for a front tow-hook, do we?
I zip tied the plate holder to the lower grille. Then zip tied my plate to the plate holder since I do not have fasteners right now. There is no tow hook location on the front unfortunately.
I think I will be buying some steel flat bar soon and fabricating something to fit to one of the fastener locations for the lower grille shutter. I'll update when I get around to it.

This is not a size matter, it's likely the fact that the battery was allowed to die on the lot. Seriously, the size of the battery may mean that you'll only get 3-4 years out of it, but it is not insufficient for the task, assuming good battery-maintenance practices. By 'good battery-maintenance practices, I simply mean that you don't drive only short-trips and that you don't abuse the battery, such as by leaving things like cams always-on or draining the battery frequently by sitting with the engine off and many accessories and lights on.
Sorry let me rephrase, by larger battery I mean a larger CCA capacity. The fact that they replaced my battery and still was not starting my car was of concern. Additionally, other owners are having the same issue here. There should be other battery options from Subaru especially if the customer opts for the cold weather package on their vehicle.

Every new Legacy can benefit from:
Better summer or all-season tires
Snow tires in the winter so the AWD system is actually useful
A larger battery so the vehicle starts in cold weather.
Reasons:
Subaru selected tires based on fuel economy, not ride quality.
Stock tires are TERRIBLE in the snow. Immediately fixed with proper winter tires.
Numerous people have reported on here for that the battery is undersized. I agree.
100% agree. I have had problems with my car starting up in the cold. A month after purchasing the vehicle from the dealership I had to jump it 3 times. Took it to the dealership, and they said nothing was wrong. Subaru should come standard with a larger battery

Washed her after being covered in snow, ice, and salt /QUOTE]
Washed mine as well, but unlike you ... I had to wait until about 6pm when the heat eased off a bit ... otherwise it probably would have "sizzled" like a hot plate when I wet it
I see where you guys are freezing at the moment, and apparenltly even expecting snow down south. On the other hand we here in Oz are baking ....it's hot ... damn hot!!! 116°F in some places .... where I am it was "only" 93°F
It's freezing here, with the wind chill it is easily below 0 F

First time using a “rinseless” or “hoseless” wash. Bought the Ammo Frothe and used the Griots pump foamer. I love this option since I don’t have access to a hose hook up anymore. No swirls or scratches! Obviously, a picture cannot show the depth of the shine, but she is shiny!
