First time using a “rinseless” or “hoseless” wash. Bought the Ammo Frothe and used the Griots pump foamer. I love this option since I don’t have access to a hose hook up anymore. No swirls or scratches! Obviously, a picture cannot show the depth of the shine, but she is shiny! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

6th Gen Legacy Wheel Thread

I found the Enkei's on FB marketplace, and the owner had put a couple hundred miles on them before replacing them. Small little scratches but other than that the are in perfect condition. And I got brand new DWS06's off Tire Rack. Continental tire was having a $70 rebate back on tires for June. I took the TPMS off my stock wheels and put them on the new ones. All-in-All, I paid around $950 for everything.

Final upgraded my wheels and tires. Bought 18" Enkei wheels that came off a 2014 STI. Wrapped them in 245/45R18 Continental DWS06. The OD of the tire is pretty much what came stock on my Legacy. However, the wheel and tire result in about a 1" width increase. I really like the look of these on the car! Also, the grip these tires offer is phenomenal. If anyone is looking for a high performance All-Season, I recommend checking these out.

Finally, upgraded to the 20mm rear sway bar. I have to say, after 3.5 years of rain, snow, and road salt, the threads on the endlinks did not fare well. Trying to get the nut off the link ended up stripping out the Allen key socket. Definitely recommend removing the endlinks with the RSB attached, then removing the RSB. Had to use vice grips to get the nut off. Looks like upgraded endlinks are next on the list for me. I can 100% feel a difference with the stiffer RSB. I took a 200 mi trip, and noticed the back of the vehicle does not wonder as much as it used to. I also added a L7 license plate delete to cover the holes in the front bumper, since I moved my license plate with the custom plate relocate bracket to the passenger side.

I like the look of it better to the side, but I understand that a lot of people think it looks uneven or asymmetrical. I like it because it makes my car stand out from the rest, and because why not. Just thought other 6th gen'ers who like the look might want to know it is possible with a little fab.

Completed the front license plate relocate bracket. I used 1/8" steel flat bar that I cut, bent, and welded. The mount is connected to the fastener for the lower grille shutter. The single fastener has held the mount very securely, and I have not had an problems so far. I have a metal license plate frame that stops the license plate from flexing. There are 2 dress up bolts securing the plate to the frame on the top, and 2 dress up bolts securing the plate and the frame to the mount. The welds are pretty rough but strong enough. I also spray painted it black. Let me know what you guys think.

I zip tied the plate holder to the lower grille. Then zip tied my plate to the plate holder since I do not have fasteners right now. There is no tow hook location on the front unfortunately. I think I will be buying some steel flat bar soon and fabricating something to fit to one of the fastener locations for the lower grille shutter. I'll update when I get around to it.

Not impressed with Legacy in the snow ...
2016Boxer4 replied to Norskie's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Sorry let me rephrase, by larger battery I mean a larger CCA capacity. The fact that they replaced my battery and still was not starting my car was of concern. Additionally, other owners are having the same issue here. There should be other battery options from Subaru especially if the customer opts for the cold weather package on their vehicle. -

100% agree. I have had problems with my car starting up in the cold. A month after purchasing the vehicle from the dealership I had to jump it 3 times. Took it to the dealership, and they said nothing was wrong. Subaru should come standard with a larger battery
