  1. Hello Guys, My 2017 Legacy battery died couples days ago, then I can't control the passenger side windows from driver's switch, so I have to reset both driver and passenger side window switches which I already did. After that, the front passenger side window works like normal, BUT rear passenger side window still not working, even I try to open/close on the rear passenger side switch. Does anyone have the same issue and know how to fix this problem?? Please help.
  2. If you can prove the other 2018 Legacy is quieter than your, then something wrong with your, maybe write down the Legacy's vin# you test drove and ask dealer to test drive the same car, so they won't BS you. If doesn't work, file the complaint through Subaru and NHTSA https://www.subaru.com/customer-support.html https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ we need more owner to file the complaint so Subaru can no longer ignore wind noise issue.
  3. TSB 12-176-14R, TSB 12-177-14R TSB 12-185-15R TSB 12-218-17 All wind noise related, but only 12-218-17 covered 2017 model.
  4. Subaru need to replace these for you, regardless it causes the noise or not my dealer replaced both rear weather strippings for me, but the noise still there...:mad:
  5. I'm highly recommended you test drive another alike Legacy ASAP. Because I test drove four 2018 Legacy, all of them are very quiet (at least much much quieter than my 2017). Also Subaru added acoustic front windows on 2018 model, which should be quieter.....
  6. YES, so true, when I'm complaining about wind noise to the service dept, their face is like " dude, of course, we have wind noise, this is Subaru!!!!":mad:
  7. I'm sorry to hear that, I will highly recommend you to file the complaint through Subaru and NHTSA https://www.subaru.com/customer-support.html https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ Subaru knew the wind noise problem, but they just ignored it because nobody complains about it
  8. very sad to hear that you have similar problem like mine; the TSB doesn't apply to your car..... I don't know why Subaru do that, the TSB for exact problem, but subaru doesn't want to fix (they do not even try it), very disappointed about the way subaru fix (or avoiding) the problems.... Sorry, this is my first AND last subaru.
  9. Had my Legacy back to the dealer yesterday, with all above information/photos, But dealer finally/only agreed to replace two rear weatherstrips for me, not the two in the front, still waiting for the parts coming.....wish after replacing the rear weatherstrips will fix the problem, if not, another dealer, or Lemon law, this will be the forth times I went back to dealer for the wind noise issue
  10. NO, the first dealer (where I bought my Legacy) does not help at all, they said it's same with other alike Legacy, no repair needed!!! So I went to another dealer and test drive other two almost identical Legacy, which are much much quieter than mine. If you're 15-16 year models, the TSB# 12-185-15R should fix the B-Pillar problem. Try it. If it does not fix your car, file the complaint on subaru and NATSA, once have enough customers have same issue, they might try to fix it,
  11. Test drive another two Legacy, both of them are much quieter than mine!!!
  12. Thanks, Capttris I did check sunroof and mirror, the noise is not from sunroof area for sure, and I fold the mirror and test drive, still the same. But I do find some potential weatherstrips issue which might be the problem.. one of them on their previous TSB (12-177-14R). I already forward these pictures to Subaru, wish they can give me some "good" feedback. And yes, Before I'm scheduling another repair appointment, I'll test drive another Legacy first, thanks for the advice.
  13. I try section by section, and then the whole driver side...but wind noise still there, almost same level,
  14. Thanks, I will try if I can locate the location...
  15. all vehicle have wind noises just when it became noticeable... so far i have 2000 Honda Accord, noticeable at 60-65mph 2002 VW JETTA, almost no wind noise even over 90mph 2010 toyota venza, noticeable at 75-80 mph 2011 toyota camry, noticeable at 80 mph but 2017 Subaru Legacy, noticeable at just 40mph...which is unacceptable
