  1. I have a newbie question about this..

When you cut the lines inside the car, how do you prevent the master cylinder from going dry while you're doing the work, flaring and such? Do you constantly refill it?

The purpose of the joint is to prevent the leak from a total drain on the system. It is a safety feature of it. The little drop of fluid that you’ll see will stop once that joint left in there is empty to avoid total loss fluid of the system. I know because my brake was left 2 days in the parking lot and never emptied the system.

  2. Cut the lines under the back seat and ran the right side out where the old lines exited and crossed in front of the back seat under the carpet for the left side. On the left I used an existing grommet to exit the interior. Under the seat worked out great. I don’t think it took even 2 hrs to do.

April of 2019. About 15k miles since. No problems.

3/16 NiCopp for the lines and m10x1.0 fittings and brass couplers.

  3. Hello Everyone, Just want to tell you a little story here and ask something curious on what happen with my car lately. I was waiting with my Wife on the Parking while She’s doing groceries. Car is still running and the AC was working but hot air is blowing in the cabin. So I was thinking that there’s a problem with the AC and decided to check it at home since my place is not that far 2km away. When I’m about to start my car it did start but the Battery Light and Handbrake was lit and I just wonder why. So I turn off the car and start again, still started I didn’t bother to open the hood since my place is not that far so I decided to check it at home.

I drove it without AC and Power Steering luckily it didn’t overheat when I just found out at home that both of the drive belt were snapped. While I’m checking around what’s wrong with it since I change my timing belt 2 years ago without any problem here is the one problem that I saw on my harmonic balancer on what did actually happens to it??? Any ideas on this

  4. Hey Everyone what is your ideal Idle or what should be the Ideal for my Subie 2.5 Limited 4EAT I See is half of 1 which the engine looks like stalling if I’m on traffic sometimes but so far so good. It is under power I think. My Van goes lower than 1 and not like this half of it

  5. Max I think your right I’m the second Owner and seems the previous Owner was an Old Lady which She barely use the car in the highways, it is a City driven car. I Just got it last year and there’s a lot of UP and Downs on it. Mainly Me which I Drive it crazy in the highway going 140kmh sometimes, the car engine adjusted on my Driving Habit and spent a little bit on it to get it running at it’s Best again, hopefully now it is mostly highway driven I hope that PCV Valve and seals I change should last longer.
  6. I used Vice Grip on mine with WD40 in it. The rest of the line looks good because it was covered with plastic but if you look closer rust is in there so I decided to change the whole line without worries later.

The 1cm you mentioned that’s where the dealers put the Anti-seize that I called a joke, but that thing had a purpose on the design of the car which makes sense I think.

  7. It is a design flaw. We cannot blame the dealers or the company it should be their engineers who didn’t think that the problem will exist cause of the bad design. In the first place the joint from the main brake line was covered with plastic. But the parts where prone to corrosion no matter what. Which in the first place they should use a copper tube, and I doubt because mostly of the manufactured cars brake lines are made of steel. I didn’t give up with mine and Thanks God that it didn’t happened when I’m on the road, now since you know that this is a preventive reminder go dig in the problem now rather than hitting someone later I Hope Not.
