Well said. Now that the initial excitement has worn off and I'm less horny for the mod the reality of what was said here is sinking in. At the moment, for me, the potential gains are just not worth the risk or frustration.

So this morning I thought "I'll check the forums for excessive engine braking" - found a thread - linked to this thread - and I read through all 36 glorious pages. Is this tuning still a thing? I'm a computer nerd but no experience with car tuning. I see something about missing files. Trying to work out if this has become common knowledge or just isn't done anymore because this thread certainly is quiet.
