Get them from some LGT owner who has upgraded, for much less than $150 - otherwise you might as well get some Magnaflows welded in, or some used aftermarket axelback.
I used the 65 w rallye low beams & yellow fogs. large improvement, especially after aiming the lows a tiny bit higher to compensate for the rolling hills in our area.
As for the HIRs on High beam (would that they had low beam versions) - is there any noticeable warm-up delay on these?
FWIW, using vel0mac's dimensions:
Rear, compared to our LOBW's 15mm bar:
16mm solid USDM LGT is 29% stiffer
20mm hollow JDM is 111% stiffer
18mm solid Swift is 107% stiffer
22.4mm hollow Cobb is 263% stiffer
Front, compared to our LOBW's 21mm bar:
25.6mm hollow Cobb is 47% stiffer.
Offset is the distance between the center of the wheel and the mounting plane. Positive if the mounting plane is outboard of the wheel center, negative if inboard.
Less offset means wider track & more clearance with brakes.
Pics coming - I need to revise my cardomain sie.
But, note to newbies - check the tire pressures! I told the salesman to get the pressures right, but it felt spooky when I finally got to drive it on the local twisties. Turned out the rears were higher than the fronts - 35f, 36r.
I took it down to 34f, 32r - sooooo much better!
