  1. Question: I just cleaned my 2020 Legacy Touring big screen with a disinfectant wipe. No damage that I can see, but now I am worried, is it made out of Glass? Seems like it.
  2. Well, good news and bad news on this front...no pun intended. I took the visors to a dealer and I had the front and rears reversed, which meant the clips technically fit. My error. So then I installed 3 of them and before I did the 4th, I put the windows up - they came back down. I tried it again- they went back down when the window got near the top. THis never happened before. After research and speaking with folks I was told I had to reprogram my windows to not notice the clips on the top so easily as they do that for safety. I understand - needless to say, I sent them back.
  3. Yes - and it is incorrect as it has the two clips listed for the back window and the location of th one above the window that doesn’t go down. The customer service rep from the National SUbaru number also discussed it...but thanks.
  4. I ordered them from Subaru and they arrived. They are OEM. To install, you put the two clips under the rubber piece you pull down, push it back up and also use the tape. Here is the problem. For the rear windows, the 2nd clip is above the small triangle window that doesn't go down! No one knows what to do and when I called Subaru national, they said call the dealer. I called 3 dealers and they are clueless. I'll probably have to bring it in. Subaru National checked and what I was sent was correct for the 2020 Legacy. Anyone...anyone??? It is not weather tech, which doesn't have them for the 2020 plus I have read issues that when you use Weather tech in the channels, it often impacts the window going up and down. These OEM's are supposed to work but this rear clip thing is mind-boggling.
  5. So, that used to happen to me and then I learned that if I switched FOBS, and the other FOB wasn't programmed for the sound settings, everything went back to zero and I had to reset. It drove me nuts until someone on this site provided an idea. Program your settings using both FOBS and see if it stays. I did that and no more problems.
  6. Does anyone know the trick of having the recent calls deleting immediately and not showing on the large screen? I have an iPhone and I delete the calls out of there but it takes a day or more before they disappear from my car. (Subaru Touring XT 2020)
  7. Thanks to laufu, the changing sound settings has been solved. When I used our other FOB to move our car, because it was handy, all of the sound settings reverted back to "0" as I had none of them set. (I made sure to set them this time!) so I guess it was the facial recognition Who Am I ! technology. Too bad Subaru didn't figure out how to have the sound settings revert back to what mine were originally when I used my FOB, but at least I know what caused it.
  8. Laufu, Yes it does...maybe that is it. I think I’ll try that and see if I can get it to replicate. My thought though, is if that is it, why doesn’t it go back to what I had set when I use my FOB. My wife has not driven my car...she uses her own Forester, but I have used her FOB for my car To move it out of the garage at times. Thanks
  9. Glitch in my 2020 Subaru Legacy Touring. After going to the SOUND settings and setting the bass, mid, and treble to my liking, every few days or so the settings all revert back to “0”. Yes, I tried everything...no, it doesn’t always happen...no, it doesn’t only happen if I go to FM from Sirius or to a new station. I e-mailed Subaru customer service to see if there are any other complaints or if there is a software update, but doubt it since this car is so new. Other than that, love the car!!!!!!
  10. Have my 2020 Legacy Touring with Turbo. The first thing everyone says is how quiet it is. There is only one change I would make. At times, when making a turn, the placement of the inside rear view mirror seems to be in the way from getting a perfect view of the road.
  11. I have the 2020 and mine wasn’t part of a recall.
  12. I do have an Apple iPhone. The new version does not take up the entire screen. The top half is the map if you are using MAPS and the bottom have has the radio station you are playing.
  13. I just read a review of my Legacy in consumer reports which is a magazine I have always followed. Though my opinion is it isn’t as good over the last few years as it was years ago (less pages, too much talk, less data) I still value it. I especially look at the repair records of items, etc. For those of you who don’t subscribe, that data comes from the people who read the magazine - we complete surveys at least once a year. With that said, like anything else, there are opinions based on folks own likes/dislikes. The current article said the 11.6 screen is a head scratcher. Well, I hope they don’t have lice. I love it! It is large enough to see when you glance down as you are driving. It is extremely quick, and it is not difficult to use. Like anything else in life technology related, you have to learn the parts. But it is common sense. The large screen (and the gorgeous tan leather) is one of the reasons I love this car. Now, the most important thing will be to see how many repairs or failings may take place. But as far as the interior and the screen, no head scratching here!
  14. I wish I could answer that, but I don’t have that ability to design things...maybe sleeker??? As far as the inside, if someone asked me how it should look I couldn’t have answered that either but what they did looks really good. Maybe because it doesn’t look like a significant exterior change from the last generation it looks average to me. Again, that is just the appearance of the outside. The inside rivals the majority of cars.
  15. On Monday I picked up my Legacy 2020 Touring XT. Here is a brief overview: Interior - Stunning - A+ Outside - Not much different than the past, but I knew that. -B minus Inside Comfort - A Controls - A Could be better: the location of the rear view mirror seems to be in the way from some of my views at times -tires - So, so - and the valve caps are the cheapest I’ve ever seen - don’t even cover the whole stem - I replaced those immediately. -Nice component - the front camera, though what you see is not what you get...objects are FARTHER than what they appear -Radio - Awesome -Noise - none - -Large center screen = I happen to love it! That’s about it.
  16. MPG-my thoughts exactly. I bought my wife a 2019 Forester and there are very few things the Forester has that the 2020 Legacy doesn’t. Now, could something happen?? of course. But the other thing that interests me about People is if you read about extended warranties, (and I don’t disagree), folks say don’t buy one, it’s Subaru, if anything happens it will be in the first 3 years. Then, folks say don’t buy a model in it’s first year. Well, it isn’t the first Year for the CVT and a lot of the electronics. Not trying to fight with anyone here, but just providing food for thought. There is a reason we all buy Subarus and Not Chrysler or Mitsubishi.
  17. I like the new Legacy 2020. I know what it is, and it is between that or the Honda Accord which isn't AWD. Unless one wants to pay 5-10,000 more $ for an Audi or Volvo (closest luxury price) this has everything. I have been looking for a while and there is no perfect car.
  18. My vehicle before my 2016 Subaru Legacy was a Mazda 6 that had TomTom navigation. It was terrible! In fact, Mazda discontinued using TomTom after that and now uses a different navigation system. I am guessing that TomTom gave Subaru a good deal for all of their cars and that is why Subaru went with them. I am telling you it is a mistake. I do not know how long I will keep the Legacy...I love it, but my point being if Subaru still uses TomTom when I look at a new car that will be a negative check mark. Though Subaru has done a TERRIBLE job with working with the company it now uses for MAP UPDATES...(the last update of map software is the Fall of 2015) the navigation system works well, is easy to use, and has options that far outclassed the TomTom.
