  1. I'm slapping myself for not cashing in on the Capitol Armory/SilencerCo 5 suppressor deal. I can't say I'm a fan of SilencerCo to begin with, but that was too good to pass up... but I couldn't do $1000 just for tax stamps alone at the time.
  2. Somac- can you please move your post to its own thread, we dont want to try and undercut cobbs kit in the thread we have been asking them to produce it for the last 3 years.

Edit ( the info about how you were adapting things to your an lines is very helpful but the bottom of your post with pricing to cut out using any of their products is not what we want to do in this thread. I hope you understand)

-monalisa - thanks for getting that info.

    Dave

    Sorry about that. Deleted.

For anyone in a similar situation like me where there's a lot of the kit you can't use, just know that you'll be able to buy components individually should you need to. The value looks better just buying the whole kit though.

  3. So the Multi-Guage one plugs into the ODB2 Port, where as the one that is just a boost gauge does not plug into but its basically a $200 boost guage

For me, the only reason I want it is for an AFR gauge. I already have boost, oil pressure, and oil temp, as well as an AccessPort and a Bluetooth OBD2 reader with Torque Pro, so the other features are kind of worthless to me. That's why I liked the VBG1. AFR is the only gauge Defi doesn't make, so it's the only one that'll stick out and not match the rest, so I want it to be as discreet as possible.

  4. I doubt we'll be seeing any kind of increased freedom any time soon. Looks like the bump stock ban is going to go through at the federal level. It's only a matter of time before binary triggers are next. Orange man is no friend to gun owners.
  5. Buy a set of USDM headlight wiring and make a custom harness so that you don’t cut up the jdm lights or the car side wiring.

I actually just got a few sets of USDM wiring from a junkyard. I was actually going to buy a spare set of USDM 05-07 lights to retrofit since I've got a couple sets of parts sitting around, but the only headlights there were smashed, so I just took all the wiring and found some cheap JDM housings on eBay I'll modify.

  6. When you guys added in JDM HIDs, did you use a relay harness to power them? If so, did you use the OEM provisions for it? I'm gonna pick up some JDM A-C lights while I save up to buy a D-F front end and noticed there's an empty spot in my fuse box labeled for the HID relay. I'm thinking of trying to make a factory-like harness that runs there without having to chop the USDM wiring.
  7. Yes, OEM HIDs. I opened them up, flipped the shield and carefully flattened them to get a very sharp cutoff. I'll provide some pics I took.

And yeah, I was amazed that I was able to score on the nose cut with the same color, very very few scratches, and LOCAL!! Got a super crazy deal on that thing. No need to paint for now. My hood is even in way worse shape than the fenders and bumper .

I've been basically trying to give away my third gen JDM facelift front end locally, so I believe it! It looks awesome.

  8. Ah, yep it looks like I got my info wrong. I found a comment of yours from a decade ago going over the same thing. :)

This is a correct grill for JDM A-C cars, but only fits SpecB, 3.0R and Outback bumpers. I have this grill on my USDM Legacy with JDM SpecB bumper conversion.

It does not fit regular JDM GT or USDM cars (except 05-07 USDM Outback).

EDIT: Incorrect info above. Does not fit USDM Outback.

  9. I'm sad as a Michigander. Our new Governor-elect is hell bent on banning ARs for no good reason. She and her competition in the primaries were trying to prove that they were more anti-gun than the other person.

I'm a left-leaner and it angers me so much to see Democrats jumping deeper into anti-gun extremism when all they need to do is loosen up a bit about them and they'd get a ton more voters that just don't like the idea of giving up their guns but still support other liberal issues.

I've got a small collection of ARs and I'm slowly feeling myself turn into an H&K pistol snob, too.

  10. yes defi racer 52mm . 3 fit , without the removable ring , and you have to grind a little each side of the midlle one .

This looks incredible! You just completely changed my mind about the STI gauge pack. Could you show how much you had to grind the sides of the gauges?

I hope you will consider selling this pod!
