LGT Owners, what car will you drive next?
A_A_ron replied to EvilCamaroSS's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
I would probably be saying the same thing but this appears to be a step in an entirely new direction for them. And it's a full size Grand Touring, well powered, awd sedan. I'd give it a test drive before dismissing it. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk -

So the Kia Stinger GT is the Subaru Legacy GT we've been dreaming about all a long. -
Car Gurus is just an aggregater site that pulls used inventory from a lot of dealers. I find car gurus a little bit easier to use and filter cars with. I don't think you could definitively say one is better than the other unless you thought one had significantly more dealers participating.

Ken and I ordered them custom from Misun Auto. We can get you a set if you want to order the headlights and put them in. You do have to do some fabricating of the existing acrylic u-bars to turn them into decent diffusers.

The rear cap for the highbeam bulb on these sticks out about 3/4 inch. This is not on the factory headlights. On the driver's side it's not a problem. On the passenger side it interferes with part of the frame that supports the radiator. It will cause that headlight to aim poorly and will be a struggle to fit unless you bend part of that support to make room for it.

2020 Legacy (inserttrimname) with the turbo engine. -
That's either sold or something. Your link is abbreviated so it doesn't work. I searched their site for subarus and got a 14 2.5i leggy

That is a tough choice if you aren't dedicated to the boxer engine. -
Forgot to attach pictures

Also here is what mine look like with the modified ubars and custom LED boards. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk

I've had these headlights on for a couple weeks. My housings are black including the LED reflectors. Basically if you are anywhere except directly in front they are dull. If you are in front the are pretty visible.

5th Gen Legacy - Suspension Mods
A_A_ron replied to SBT's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
Follow up on previous post. They do not have any plans for splitting the kit up at this time. Their website lists it as out of stock but when I called the guy said he can let me order it through him but it would take some time for some of the smaller parts to get to their US warehouse from AU. I went ahead and ordered it at the time and just now got around to paying for it. Should be here in a few days via fedex. 24mm front and 22 mm rear. I plan to install the front on the stiffer setting and the rear on the mid setting to start out. This will mimic what others have been doing with 26mm front and 20mm rear with a little bias towards the rear. Side note: I am not sure on how long pricing will last but I was told I had 10% off with the total coming to 566 for the whole set. The same parts from the whiteline.com.au site were broken up across 4 part number and came to a total of 782. While both of these are pricey compared to used and subaru OEM without the bells and whistles I think this kit is a pretty fair deal for the amount of name brand equipment that it in it. -

Official Graphite Grey Metallic Thread (2010)
A_A_ron replied to Tide's topic in Legacy Photos (2010 - 2014)
Just found this thread. I've spent most of my time on this forum in the model specific fifth gen forum getting advice on upgrades and care. I'd like to introduce my 2010 LGT. New wheels last week and freshly detailed. -
That blue one is a rebuilt title. The silver one doesn't look the greatest in the photos. I don't know how well it was treated but they have done quite a bit of maintenance on it recently. Paint has a lot of dents dings and scratches.

[How-To] Clutch Damper Valve Delete
A_A_ron replied to reeg420's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
I just got this done today. I live in an apartment and I have limited tools so I figured I'd play it safe and ensure I don't melt my carpet or have a bunch of air in the system by paying a shop to do it. When I replaced the clutch I got a 6 puck and asked the guy about the damper. He said it should be easy and he'd only charge me for an hour. Took less than an hour and I paid 90 bucks to have it done which I am personally okay with since I don't have my own garage and I'm tight on time getting ready for boxerfest. Even just pulling out of the parking lot I noticed a difference. As I was feathering the clutch (uphill start from a complete stop) I paused as the friction was kicking in and it remained steady. Then as I started moving into the street I let off and it engaged the rest of the way consistently. It's amazing. Also if anyone else is considering this I ordered 3 of the connectors and have two extra. I will sell at cost and we'll find the cheapest shipping possible or we can meet up at boxerfest if you are going to be there. -
5th Gen Legacy - Suspension Mods
A_A_ron replied to SBT's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
Just talked to whiteline on the phone and the guy confirmed that this kit is available in Australia and other places and that it could be available in the US in about a month. When he calls back I will ask about possibility of the kit being broken up to separate front and rear. I don't know if the rear is any different than the WRX one some people have bought but it's nice to see our car validated as a real model in existence as opposed to only universal parts being listed as available. Let me know what you think or if I should post this in a different thread. -
I am interested. I have a 2010 LGT
