Would be best to skip it. When I researched replacing my block, it was cheaper/better just to get an OEM EJ257 block. If you are going for power, rebuild with forged.

You wont have any issues. I currently have a SS -4AN line for my TD04 twin scroll and it has been no issues from previous owner to me.

Silver isnt so bad. I was going to use plastidip to paint the double din setup, shifter console, and side pieces so it was all a matching black. Saw a few others do that and it looked nice and easy to fix if it got scratched.

Valve cover gaskets are pretty common to leak.

Like the looks of it but feel like an Audi allroad is the best option overall.
The cars I thought about were Golf alltrack and Audi allroad. Volvo V60/90 were super nice but out of the price range.
