  1. You have to set the goals here, make your own path buddy. You've got stretched tires on a oversized cheap wheel setup with a worn suspension.

    Options:

-Sell the wheels for an 18x8 +48 setup and keep the tires, then get koni struts and some sport springs, and install everything. Get a JDM rear sway bar. Great DD setup.

-You could also get coilovers, slam, roll, pull and camber the f*** out of that thing. Start vaping.

    Rude, man. I don't vape :icon_sad:

  2. 18x9.5 +35 with 275/30/18 - guaranteed rub. If you used really stiff c/o at stock height, it might be driveable. The fronts would need the fender liners removed. The rears would stick out too much, so you'll need mud flaps.

    OMG DEFINITELY! haha

    I'm running 18x9.5 +38 and I couldn't imagine fitting anything more than 235/40 in there, and I'm v aggressively rolled / pulled.

My front fender liners def take a beating on long trips -- probably just remove them when the weather gets nicer

  3. I know what you mean......I'm a Bronx Boy myself, though I don't live in The City now. Back in the '50s and '60s a lot of cars had Curb Feelers, wire whiskers that touched obstacles before any real damage could be done. The scraping noise was your warning. Good idea but too tacky for the 21st century. Naturally there's an electronic solution, but it's pricey.

A DIY solution could be rigged up with some type of micro-switch with a stiff black feeler extending out from the front lip, and a buzzer or light on the dash.

I've developed the habit of turning down my curb mirrors while parking to keep an eye on potential curbage 👌🏻

  4. Trust me brother, my STi was supposed to be my daily 6 years ago, then it was a forester and the same, then a legacy that all got out of control lol. Went out and got another forester to actually daily lol.

Yeah. Only shame is that it keeps diverting time / attention away from a nearly 4yr project I've been working on! :(

  5. Car looks super good!

Question for both of you, you guys are pretty low: you remove the bump stops in the rear or is the suspension just on the stiffer side?

I still need to raise the rear a little as it's a lower than the front but it feels like its hitting the rear bump stops way too frequently at this height

Mine are removed and the suspension is pretty stiff. Considering some Saggy Butt Spacers to return to more proper geometry on the bottom end of things tho.
