  1. So my car is still at Subaru. They haven’t done anything to it, I haven’t gotten it because I basically don’t want to. Here’s the situation. I think Subaru is trying to screw me over for their mistake and trying to blame it on me. I don’t know everything but I know a pretty good amount when it comes to modified cars and modifying them. Subaru is trying to blame the weird/abnormal/out of wack alignment wear of the tires on me. They are trying to tell me that because the car is lowered (I am on H&R lowering springs) I’ve had them on the car for 30,000+ miles, now have 59,000 on the car. Replaced the first set of tires at 42,000 miles. Never had any issues with the suspension. Now less than 20,000 miles on the new tires and the chording has happened... they’re trying to tell me that the springs are causing the suspension to be pushed out and that’s why the tires wore like they did. If that’s the case then why didn’t this happen to the last tires. I’ve never liked this dealer but I don’t really have a choice. They are telling me I HAVE TO put the stock springs back on in order to fix the problem... that’s my opinion based on my knowledge. Whether you agree or disagree with my opinion I want to hear what you think and why.

  2. Its either been scraping against something or you alignment is way off. And its been this way for a while. Just looking at thread wear pattern, it looks to be a something that could result from heavy negative camber. Did you have the car/ tires from when they were new? when was the last you checked alignment? Did you run a heavy negative camber on those tires even if it was for a short time?

Please do not drive on a highway till you get them replaced. And weather you are happy or not, it is something that needs to be done. If those blow at highway speeds it will be a lot more that a set of wheels and tires.

The wheels and tires are all stock from Subaru. Subaru did the alignment and the tires. I haven’t touched the suspension.

  3. You need to get those replaced ASAP...death trap waiting to happen and I am not over-reacting. DO NOT WAIT...you can have a major blow out at any time!!! Unfortunately, 4 new tires are in your immediate future. You car is out of alignment BAD.

Yes I am not driving the car at the time. I saw it and it was put in the garage and it won’t be driven. The Subaru dealership is around 20 miles away and I’m contemplating calling AAA to tow it there just to be extremely cautious.

I’m just happy that I caught it. I got out of the car on the driveway with the wheels turned but how often are you seeing the inside of your tires.. I was going to bring the car in to get the suspension looked at but that’s not an immediate issue but I’m happy to have found this when I did. Who knows I could’ve gone a few more days and I could’ve had a double blowout and a serious accident and a serious bill.

  4. Everyone has their own experience with their car... seems now my suspension is going out. I’m thinking the wheel bearings?... car gets above 50 and the shakes are slight, gets above 70 and the car shakes uncontrollably. The steering wheel vibrates unbelievably crazy. It’s an arm workout basically [emoji23]. I have had nothing but issues with this car. Couldn’t go 4000 miles after the engine rebuild without having another problem. Will be in contact with subaru. I’m at 59,000 miles.

  5. Does anyone have any info on an updated tune? At the end of May Ryan you said there was a refined tune and E85, did you ever get that?

Never did. I asked matt multiples times to send it to me and he never did. He said he was finishing the flex tune a long time ago.

  6. Here's another shot of this car - though this one not in motion:

That's the photo I was talking about. If they made a Legacy STI with the 2.5 Turbo it would draw more younger people towards it because if it's like the legacy GT (from what I've heard) the insurance is the same as a N/A legacy because it's a "legacy" and not a "WRX" or "STI".

Kind of like the BRZ STI concept idea.

  8. Thanks for that review. I'm not due for tyres for a while, but I've been watching the various tyre reviews for future reference, because I intend to change from the factory Dunlops as well. I don't want to start another new "'tyre discussion" but I would be interested if Michelin was on your list of possible replacements for the Dunlops, because going on various reviews I've seen on numerous sites, they were looking good to me ..... but I am happy to take on board your comments on the Potenzas.

I'm believe I am getting the Michelin pilot sport A/S 3 Plus for my tires 245/40r19. I'll give you my opinion on them when I get them.

  9. Was in contact with TH last night and he was hoping to have the updates out to everyone in the next week or so.

And I'm sure once he gets a read of the 2018 file he can look at using this as a base and adding his maps to it. But that will be down the track a bit and may require someone with a Tactrix cable to a take a car for a "test drive", park up in a lot and read the ECU.

Awesome! Thanks for the update. Did he mention if the flex tune was ready with the update(U.S. Cars)?

  10. I have been searching the internet as well as the forums here and have been unsuccessful in finding out how to connect with the Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable to EcuFlash. It won't load any of the vehicles I select EXCEPT for the BRZ. It will load under that BRZ Vehicle Type setting but asks me to create a definition from scratch.

Does anyone know a clear way to connect to this properly or retrieve the ROM by any other means?

    Use the BRZ

  11. I think my exhaust shop just bent up a piece of solid rod for the hangar.

Also I'm pretty sure you should be able to get the rubber exhaust mounts from your local auto parts store. Though dealer should be able to get OEM ones for you too.

I have the Nameless bushings right now on axle back and they "suit my driving style" [emoji6]. I took a go pro video of the stock exhaust and noticed how much it moves around on the factory bushings. With the Nameless ones it barely moves. Thanks for the input.

  12. Exhaust came a few days early. I didn't know I was getting the mufflers but I'm happy I got them. Got it all for $100. I'm leaning towards the Nameless muffler delete but I haven't ordered anything else yet.

If I wanted to buy the hangars(or whatever they're called, the bushings connect the two) for the passenger side, where can I find them. I'm not getting this done at an exhaust shop, I'll be doing this myself. 09748284d6e7c4c7dc879e154fd9dd59.jpg0cdc1b0f47416320e1921146ebb3e2f2.jpg14e2994adc1a93d63543a882e2a8097e.jpgc54c36d30ba8e785d2648346339bfc22.jpg

  13. I need some help, in the midst of trying get my new wheels/tires, I am trying to get 19x8.5 rims and 245/40R19 tires. The mechanics say I shouldn't do this because it will hurt the transmission. I know there are a number of people out there with the plus size wheels. Can anyone give factual information on this? What do they mean it will hurt the transmission? The rims I'm looking at are the TSW Nurburgring, they are 21lbs each (~5lbs lighter than stock) I'd think this would put less stress on the transmission since they are lighter.. but this isn't my area of expertise.
