I went with 245/45R18 Firehawk Indy 500's.
Got rid of alot of the mushy, and were quieter to boot!
A great tire for a great price IMO.
I wouldn't go with just dropping aspect ratio as your speedo will be out significantly.
Ensure the overall diameter/revs per mile are very close (within about 2 %).
Tire Rack is great for all that info when you compare specifications on tires.

I'm not sure there'd be any difference from importing from Japan. I'd check with jdm import companies here in Canada and see if they'd be willing to help you out.
Either that or contact a customs broker here. No direct experience with them but A.D. Rutherford or Livingston International I'm sure could help you.

That can’t be real can it?
Here's a video of one running

Take them to a scrapper/recycler. They'll buy them because they're aluminum. Won't be a fortune but they're no good for anything else (except maybe wall art LOL)

Did 3400 miles round trip Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada to Las Vegas last year in May.
Took 2 days on the way down, did the trip back non stop....getting too old for that! LOL
Absolutely awesome highway cruiser at 80mph.

Awesome car. Good luck with it and reliability. I test drove one and the headlight vibrated over every bump drove me NUTS. -When the salesperson said, we can have them look at that, I was all set. Cool how the headlights turn with the wheel.. Please let us know how it holds up in winter driving/ traction. If you live in a cold climate, I didn't actually take note of your location.
-Cheers
New set of studded winters already in process, wheels chosen as well. I'll be ready for the cold/ice/snow...
I'm in central Canada (Winnipeg, Manitoba)

Is it belt squeal or are the compressor/compressor clutch bearings on the way out?
-
Yikes. Those are expensive arent they?
They're definitely more than a Legacy LOL
I crossed shopped with an STi and it was no contest - the R won that comparison easily.

I said goodbye to my Legacy today....now I'm in a Golf R

Mufflers?

These are bookmarks I've got from a few years ago when I had my WRX. Maybe they can help?

Not just the CVT. The Nameless ABE I had on my '08 STI droned like crazy at normal, around-town RPM. I had to shift to a lower gear to keep it from droning.
I loved the nameless ABE on my '12 WRX(sedan), reason I bought it for the Legacy..
-
The nameless axle backs sound really good *however* because of the cvt the amount of drone inside the car is crazy(imo).
Mine are hanging on the wall in my garage - put the stock back on...

Not sure if I follow you. This is a limited model with the stock goodyears; 225/50/18. Never had anything smaller than 18s on here. The tire I plan on changing to, 245/40, if I am thinking correctly, is what most people run on 18x8.5’s
245 45's will keep your speedo accurate. 40's will give you a smaller diameter than stock - your speedo will read artificially high.

Apparently you cannot have a personalized licence plate with your surname on it.... Not in Saskatchewan anyway

Manitoba wouldn't allow BANANA when personalized plates first came out. Don't know about now.
I've got AWDACTY and IMPRZME myself

I just wished there was a better way to mount it in the center.. Damn Dealer just drill into the Bumper. I didnt really like that.

Here's an interesting article about automatic transmissions on a dyno.

Question - after reviewing the entire thread - will 225/55/18 tires fire in the stock limited rim without rubbing? Wanted to add a little more sidewall but haven’t seen any responses to this size.
Thanks
The tire will fit the rim, no rubbing. It will, however cause your speedo to read too low of a speed. (more sidewall = larger diameter = less revolutions per mile) It'll be out somewhere in the 3 to 4% range.

Why a carbon fibre driveshaft?
Less rotating mass = free up horsepower to the wheels
