There is a TSB on the CVT for possible leaks up to 100k miles.. So I recommend ALL of you check it closely because Unfortunately I had my transmission replaced at 94k miles because it was a area where Subaru Techs weren't allowed to repair it..
Now at 137,000 only 43k miles later I have another leak and it's out of Warranty.. So get ready to grab your seats.. I asked my dealership how much was Labor for Removal and Install to diagnose the problem they told me $1,150.00.. Here it comes if it's determined that the same area is leaking and a New Transmission is needed that will cost $9,000 and thats a refurbished Transmission... I'm so frustrated right now and waiting on a reply from SOA because I feel transmission shouldn't fail again at 43k Miles..
I'll keep u guys posted..

Looking at this car tomorrow. Has 132K miles but for $9K or less, cant complain.
What should I keep an eye out for? I saw it over yesterday and interior and exterior was in great shape and taken care of. I'm going to ask to see if they can put it on a lift so I can check trans leaks and corrosion.

This makes me afraid since I might be picking up a 2015 Limited that has 132K miles so its out of the TSB range now.
-
Might be coming over to the Legacy dark side!
This time with a used 2016 (sold in 2015) 2.5 Limited with only 132K miles (went on a road trip from Connecticut to Vegas and back before moving down here.
Looking forward to the MPG since i have an almost a 93 mile commute.
Thought about a 09 OBXT or LegGT but I really want the MPG at this point plus I can make it fun with a couple of upgrades.
-
Soooo, tempting!
Miss my GRP wagon.
-
Might be in the market for an OB XT
-
Too bad I don't live there anymore. I used to try and get some Legacy peeps together and do Autocrosses or track days.
Yeah, we never did have that match!
-
Lots of dyno tests have shown 11+WHP to the ground even without a tune with just axle backs!!!
Get Prodrives or Cobb!!!

I'm on the same boat Nick!

If anyone in Orlando wants a semi equal length header up-pipe (4-2-1 design) selling my old one for $175 firm
-
I needed the space for the kids and found the 09 EX sedan w/NAV with only 13K miles a month ago an traded mine for that certified pre owned one.
When I back to Suby, might go for a Fozzy or Outback as I like the MPG's or even a BRZ
-
Yep and I miss her but my the MPG I'm getting now is priceless with the 70+ mile daily drive to/from work.
I still have the roof rack and a few other parts if picked up bu a local.

Wonder if the wagons built in Japan have this issue!
-
-
Nope! Don't think SCCA has a class for the Smart.
-
Sold the wagon so if anyone is looking for parts:

I have a switch in the classifieds if anyone needs one.

Collective immobilizer?!
-
Wonder if plastidipping the pillars would be worth it though the front ones are cloth covered which would suck.
-
Mirror housings are different so if you don't have an 05-07, don't get it them, get the style that is like yours.
-
I would do what Mike did. I would take all issus related to this issue to the dealer so all this gets documented and probably SOA will release a service bulletin or recall as it will affect mostly all of the wagon & outbacks out there. If the dealer charged you and a recall is issued, you get refunded the money for those repairs done at the desler.
-
I'm tempted to do a black headliner and pillars like the JDM model whose name escapes me right now.
-
There is?!

No idea what the top hats and hardware is worth, $30-$40?
