  1. I dont think they are the same. This is the regular ATS caliper not ATS V which has a six piston. Someone tried to do a ATS to CTS V swap but it literally requires too much . I think they said they need new spindles, hubs , brake lines, and everything else you need for a brake setup.

Plus the CTSv brembos require a 19in rim.

    Stolen from a 240 page:

Stock s13 caliper, sumitomo four piston (similar to FHI four pots), and the older CTS V brembo.

  2. So basically you want a detailed DIY tutorial or YouTube video to show you the whole process?

On their FB page, someone mentioned that you CANNOT use STI BBS wheels without modifying either the caliper or wheels inner barrel. Neither is safe.

Both materials and what's involved with the install can be had through CTSVs install guide.

Yeah because that's what I asked.

One person on their Facebook thread said that they don't work, I believe it but I'd like more information.

I've modified calipers before in this fashion, I was just wondering if anyone had any more experience than a post on Facebook. Your pictures do help.

  3. Very interesting. But frankly I never understood the Brembo craze...don't the stock brakes work just great unless you're running huge sticky rubber or doing track days/autoX? Someone tell me a good reason to do this on a DD:)

Floating iron calipers suck, they seize, and don't have the best pad choices.

Also, buying a reman stock caliper is the same price as these Brembos. Why not upgrade by just spending a little bit more for the conversion kit?
