  1. Nice!Your car just keeps getting better and heavier.Any idea what the current weight is?I went the opposite with mine and stripped it down to the minimum.[i have stock suspension].everything from the ac to back seats and seat belts.Everything to help it when loaded for the hills.
  2. Thanks for those links swcolegacyl. Sjrlift actually works with the first gens.It has been a while since I have checked but everybody started at 1995.
  3. Turned out awesome!A bungee cargo net across the ceiling on mine.Great for stashing gear, jackets etc.You may already know of this guy but just in case....
  4. I did something very similar to my first wagon, twenty years ago, a 84 GL.Thy did not have the rear spare.I removed the seat back and bottom and made a plywood hatch/box taking the place of the seat when it was down.Worked awsome.I took the padding off the seat back of my current first gen and removed the seat bottom.I can get everything to spend a couple nights on the river under the seats.I sleep in the back. I made a custom tarp that tunneled off the back for my GL.It fastened to a roof rack and worked great camping.I wish I had pics.Loving what your doing.
  5. Newbie to this forum.Had to congratulate you on an awesome build.I am an old ea81-82 fan and just jumping into the legacy wagons.Unfortunately a pulled the trigger on a 1st gen.No where near the aftermarket available for it.Anyways awesome build and thanks so much for taking the time to document it!
