  1. I use 17" 225/55R-17 BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK WS80s in the winter on less expensive wheels. Packaged from Tire Rack with 3 more pounds of air to adjust for the higher sidewall. More pothole protection here in DC.

There’s a big difference between winter tires like the Blizzak and a true all-weather tire, which is what the OP inquired about.

Winter tires are single purpose (snow and ice) and do not ride well or wear well in moderate or warm weather due to the rubber compound. All-weather tires are relatively new in the US and do a reasonably good job under all conditions (no, not as good as a summer performance tire or as good as a winter tire used for their intended application.

  2. Did the install of the 20mm w/bushing kit yesterday. The hardest part of the job was access to be able to use the 5mm Allen wrench on the left side to remove the stock sway bar. So swore a bit and did the right side first, which seemed to make the left side easier. The install of the new sway bar was far easier than the removal of the old one. No ramps, just the 5mm Allen, an open end 14mm and a 12mm socket plus torque wrench. Followed with a test drive, a Irish amber brew and a nap. [emoji58] I'll put it through some bends in the road today.

  3. For $20.00 get the bushings.

The darn thing is $89.95 for the kit sway bar with 2 bushings and purchase something for $10.00 more get free shipping.

BTW they are all the same. This is the exact one I installed on my Legacy.

  4. Dgoodhue is correct, but there's another thing to consider: brown oil is not automatically a bad thing. It also may be an indication that your oil is high quality and is doing its job by removing older stuff and preventing friction by suspending it. That is what oil is supposed to do and what several manufacturers expect when they specify 10,000 mile OCI and mandate high quality oil.

  5. I've have a Legacy 3.6R MY 2016 since August last year. Have been using Pennzoil Ultra 5-30 and will continue as long as they sell it. That was the only oil I could use without worries in my 2012 Genesis 5.0L R-Spec. There were many short block replacements of that engine due to oil consumption. The Ultra is expensive and hard to find. I don't care because it's worth it to me. JMHO.

Interestingly, M1 5-30 extended performance works extremely well in my wife's Volvo XC-60 T6 Turbo, now with 80,000 miles and zero consumption ever. Not a drop. I absolutely could not use the same oil in my Genesis. [emoji849]
