  1. There’s a big difference between winter tires like the Blizzak and a true all-weather tire, which is what the OP inquired about. Winter tires are single purpose (snow and ice) and do not ride well or wear well in moderate or warm weather due to the rubber compound. All-weather tires are relatively new in the US and do a reasonably good job under all conditions (no, not as good as a summer performance tire or as good as a winter tire used for their intended application. 2. Nokian WRG4 fits my 2016 3.6R. Like these tires in the first few weeks of ownership. Minnesota’s winter has not been brutal yet, so we’ll wait and see about deep snow and ice performance. On dry roads, I’m impressed with how quiet and comfortable the ride is vs. my Cont. extreme contact 3s. Discount Tire can special order from Nokian. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have experienced an intermittent battery warning light and every time I schedule a service appointment, it stops coming on. So I cancel my appointment and hope for the best. Before sit on the dealer’s doorstep and do a Chuck Norris, has anyone experienced this? Also, does anyone know if the warning light comes on with a system charging problem or also a weak battery AND a system charging problem? Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Valve cleaning shouldn’t be necessary with regular use of top tier gas and perhaps occasional use of Techron fuel system cleaner. It’s one of the few remaining port injection engines around, so with synthetic oil changed every 6,000 miles and good fuel, everything should stay pretty clean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Normally?? My MY 16 3.6R uses about 1/3 qt. every 5,000 miles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I had the dealer do new brake fluid. Roughly $130. Not sorry I did. I'll likely keep this car longer than any I've kept in my life. It's almost a game with my wife these days - she says "you will NEVER keep it longer than 3 years. [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. There are other threads here on this. My 2016 3.6R had a rear wheel bearing replaced around 16,000 mi. Subaru needs a new supplier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Love the way my car handles after the inexpensive 29mm sway bar upgrade. It's a very different car on windy days and on hard cornering. I'm predicting shorter tire life. And yes - I know somebody will say it would be better with a 22mm. Not for me it wouldn't. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Did the install of the 20mm w/bushing kit yesterday. The hardest part of the job was access to be able to use the 5mm Allen wrench on the left side to remove the stock sway bar. So swore a bit and did the right side first, which seemed to make the left side easier. The install of the new sway bar was far easier than the removal of the old one. No ramps, just the 5mm Allen, an open end 14mm and a 12mm socket plus torque wrench. Followed with a test drive, a Irish amber brew and a nap. [emoji58] I'll put it through some bends in the road today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Done. Sway bar kit and air cleaner, free shipping! $106.41. [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So I've pretty well decided I will order the 20mm rear sway bar, part number 20451VA000 2016 STI from Subaru Parts Depot. Can someone tell me if I need to order any additional parts (bolts, bushings, etc.)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Lots of useful information here - more than most people will ever need. Takes patience to find what you're interested in, but it sure confirmed my preference for Pennzoil Ultra and more recently Ultra Platinum. https://540ratblog.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/motor-oil-wear-test-ranking/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
